Among the outrageous effects of the House proposal to repeal the ACA, is that it is a massive job killer.
According to the Kaiser Foundation, 9% of Americans work in healthcare. That means for every million who lose their insurance, we are likely costing 90,000 Americans their jobs.
If the Cong Budget Office is right, and this Bill would cost 24 million people their coverage, then we are looking at over 2 million lost jobs. With those 2 million unemployed will come the multiplier effect of a declining tax base, demand for unemployment insurance, a weakened economy, and so on.
Mr. President, on top of everything already mentioned – you are a job killer. And you are bragging about it. — Steve Larchuk
